Faith

faith - 2 corin 5-7.jpg
The outpouring of encouragement has been overwhelming since I shared my diagnosis of cancer. So many sweet words and prayers are being said! One phrase that keeps blowing me away is when people say, "Your faith is so strong".

When we’re kids or new Christians we think we will “grow up” and “be better” and “not struggle” once we learn all the “right things”… and then we beat ourselves up when we fear and doubt and fail. What I’m learning is that I'm still the same, broken, flawed, and imperfect person, BUT I have a deeper trust and love for our God… and THAT changes everything.

It’s not as much about MY FAITH, as it is about WHO HE IS. He is FAITHFUL. He is PATIENT. He is LOVING. He is UNDERSTANDING... He knows what it feels like to be in that place of desperation and despair—he suffered the cross for us!

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders,

Let me walk upon the waters,Wherever you would call me,

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander,

And my FAITH WILL BE MADE STRONGER

In the presence of my Savior.“

Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) – Hillsong Church

It’s about being in His presence—recognizing His presence… looking for Him in the dark valleys of life. Devouring His word. Surrounding ourselves with TRUTH – this is why we are on a mission for women to hear truth. We believe the lies of this world otherwise… and those lies will suffocate us.

I don’t have this all figured out! This is a day-by-day, moment-by-moment walk. My God is bigger than what I see. He’s bigger than my fear. He’s bigger than my doubt. He’s bigger than cancer. I'm trusting Him. I'm looking to this BIG GOD... and so I’m left walking by FAITH and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
