When I am a mess and life is overwhelming...
YOU are a shield around me.
When I am stressed and trying to take up all my worries and fears again...
YOU are a shield around me.
When I am content and filled with joy...
YOU are a shield around me.
One verse can revive our weary souls and hearts. Bible study doesn't have to be chapters upon chapters at a time; Even a simple sentence with which we meditate on can infuse the hope our lives are lacking.
God's Word is sustenance for our souls. Without His truth, we begin to spiritually waste away. What we put in matters! "For out of the overflow of his heart, his mouth speaks." - Luke 6:45b (NIV84). What we consume begins to seep out in our actions, our words, and in everyday life. Let's shock the world and ingest so much truth that they see it in all we do!
